Additions
At one time or another, just about every homeowner has dreamed of having more space in the house. When lack of space becomes a big problem there are two options: buy a new house or add an addition to your current home. Additions can be a great solution when you need more space but love your neighborhood and community. An addition can be the extra space you need for a variety of things: family room, home office, extra bathroom, master bedroom, mudroom, home spa, home gym… whatever you can imagine.
Although the idea of a major remodeling project, such as building an addition, may feel overwhelming, in most cases it is far more cost effective than moving and maintains stability in the family life. Besides providing your home with more living space, a home addition can be a terrific investment. However, before embarking on such a project the homeowner should first consider several important items. These items include: home market values in the neighborhood, financing, size and scale of project, architecture, timetable for completion, and personal disruption / inconvenience threshold.
